Call The Art of Breastfeeding at 773-420-7534 and we’ll will be glad to help you go over your best options. You can also set up an appointment with a trained lactation specialist, who can help you choose and learn to use the best pump for you and your baby.

Ten Reasons to get your breast pump from The Art of Breastfeeding…

  1. The best selection of pumps
Unlike many places, we don’t carry just one brand. Our loyalty is to you, not to one company. We always have on hand the most effective, easy-to-use rental and sale pumps in all price ranges.
  2. Expert help in choosing a pump
To help you decide which pumps to consider, we give you the pros and cons of each type and model of breast pump for your situation.
  3. Great prices
Compare. Our prices are among the lowest around.
  4. The chance to test different pumps before you rent or buyFor health reasons, breast pumps are not returnable once opened, so before you spend your money, try our demo pumps. Find out first-hand which pump is most comfortable and effective for you.
  5. Personal instruction in pump use and care
No need to struggle with complicated written instructions. We show you everything you need to know. Feel at ease with your pump even before you use it.
  6. Phone and e-mail support
Buying or renting a top-quality breast pump is only the first step. You also need to know how to use it optimally to meet your breastfeeding goals. When you buy or rent from us, you have access to our board-certified lactation consultants by phone or e-mail. This time and expertise could cost you hundreds of dollars if you had to pay for it separately. We include it with every pump.
  7. Written information on all aspects of breastfeeding and pumping
Tell us what you’d like to know more about. With every pump rental and sale, we can provide you with the information you need on a wide variety of topics, including working and breastfeeding, increasing milk supply, how to establish a milk supply with a breast pump, reducing milk supply and weaning, diet and breastfeeding, and many more-all written by Nancy Mohrbacher, IBCLC, an internationally known lactation expert.
  8. Easy access to replacement parts
We always have the parts you need when you need them.
  9. Free troubleshooting and warranty support
We will check your pump any time free of charge. If your Medela or Ameda pump fails within the warranty period, we will loan you a free rental pump until your new pump arrives. We make sure you never go even one day without a working breast pump.

We can usually be there within 24 hours — sooner if the need is urgent. Call us today.

Home Lactation Visits

If you are concerned about whether breastfeeding is going normally, call us. We can help you meet your breastfeeding goals even if you have challenges such as:

  • difficult latch-on
  • sore nipples
  • breast refusal
  • slow weight gain
  • prematurity
  • breast infection
  • twins and triplets

At a lactation visit, a board-certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) spends 1.5 to 2 hours with you and your baby. The IBCLC weighs your baby and can measure milk intake during breastfeeding. If your need is for a simple breastfeeding check-up, she evaluates how breastfeeding is going and provides you with all the information you need. If you are having a breastfeeding problem, she determines the cause of your problem and leaves you with a written, personalized lactation plan. She also teaches you techniques to make breastfeeding more comfortable and provides you with an overview of normal breastfeeding. Unlimited phone follow-up and office weight checks are included in the cost of the visit.

At the time of the visit we accept payment in the form of cash, check, or VISA, MasterCard, and we give you an insurance superbill, which you can submit for reimbursement.

With the current cost of infant formula at $100-250 per month (at least $1200 during your baby’s first year), a lactation visit can be a great investment, both financially and for your baby’s and your own health. Call The Art of Breastfeeding at 773-420-7534 to make an appointment for a home visit with a board-certified lactation consultant.

Are you interested in a deeper connection to your new baby?

We are now offering a more comprehensive lactation consultation by combining the necessary techniques and tools taught to you in your home AND some cutting edge energy work designed to get a better knowledge of yourself, your baby, and your connection.

The consultation includes a home visit and a reading for you and your baby. We can then access not only the physical issues but often hidden emotional and energy blocks. With this consultation you will also receive an energy healing to assist you in clearing the way for healing to occur.
